The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC has started construction in the Village de L’est neighborhood. This is the first of three planned FEMA-funded construction projects in the Village de L’est neighborhood valued at more than $20M.
The scope of work varies depending on the condition of the roadway surface and underground utilities. View the project map here to see what work is planned on your block.
The type of work planned varies by block but will include the following:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repave the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks.
- Patch Concrete: Remove damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement.
- Incidental Road Repairs: Remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement.
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
