Barriere Construction and their subcontractor, Dieudonne Enterprises, Inc., have completed all the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant ramps on St. Charles Avenue (streetcar track area).
The project, a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Transportation, is substantially complete, pending asphalting and striping. The project is expected to end in December.
This $1.3M project, designed by Linfield, Hunter, and Junius, LLC., includes the following scope of work:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks adjacent to ADA ramps;
- Patching in preparation for the next phase of construction; and
- Replacing street tiles.
