The Gentilly Terrace Group A project has moved into substantial completion. City of New Orleans contractor Roubion Shoring & Construction crews have completed all of the project’s original scope of work and are now proceeding with newly approved activities on Acacia Street.
Department of Public Works and Sewerage and Water Board project managers have begun inspecting the completed areas of the project. The entire project is expected to be complete in early December.
This $2.2M project includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City hosted a pre-construction public meeting to discuss the project’s construction sequencing and anticipated impacts. View a copy of the public meeting presentation here.
