The Michoud Boulevard Reconstruction Project is approximately 88 percent complete. The project was designed by Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc. and is being built by Cycle Construction Company, LLC. The now $3.3 million Michoud Boulevard Reconstruction Project is scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2019.
Sewer, water, and drainage are currently being installed. The 36-inch drain line installation is complete from Lourdes Street to Deauville Court. The 24-inch drain line installation is ongoing from Deauville Court to Dwyer Boulevard. The new sewer line installation is ongoing and will be completed once Cycle Construction Co., LLC ties into the Deauville Court sewer manhole. Roadway base is being installed and compacted as subsurface utility work is completed.
To assist with security issues and traffic concerns, a Peace Officer will be available onsite. Please mind the traffic control signs and barricades and never move them from their assigned locations.

- Repaving the roadway in concrete between the Michoud Bridge and Dwyer Road;
- Repaving the roadway in asphalt from the Michoud Bridge to Chef Menteur Highway; and
- Installing new sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
