The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, is now approximately 86 percent complete with the first of three planned FEMA-funded construction projects in the Village de L’Est neighborhood.
The initial walkthrough has been completed for the northern section of the project (area between Lake Forest Boulevard and I-10) to create a punch list.
The scope of work for this project varies depending on the condition of the roadway surface and underground utilities. View the project map here to see what work is planned or has been completed on your block. The type of work includes the following:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repave the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Remove damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
