The $15M Pontilly Neighborhood Stormwater Network extends from Stephen Girard Avenue to Southern University at New Orleans.

Bioswales are featured throughout the project area. Fleming Construction has already completed this “gray-green” feature on Mirabeau Avenue. The completed bioswales will be seeded with native vegetation and other beautification features to aesthetically incorporate the drainage project into the existing community.

This new approach to storm water management is designed to soak and detain water into the soil before diverting it into the city’s drainage system.
