WATERLINE WORK CONTINUES ON THE ST. BERNARD GROUP A PROJECT

Beverly Construction, LLC., crews, in close collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, have completed waterline tie-ins throughout the  St. Bernard Group A infrastructure improvement project area. New waterlines have been successfully tied into the existing water supply on Sere, Encampment and Cadillac streets.  Waterline installations continue on St. Bernard Avenue within the project limits. Environmental testing of these newly installed lines is planned for late October before completing the tie-in process. Roadway paving is expected to begin immediately after.

ST CLAUDE GROUP E PROGRESSING WITH SEWER AND WATERLINE REPLACEMENTS

Sewer and water line replacements are continuing on the $4.5M St. Claude Group E project that began in January 2020. Full Depth reconstruction continues on Feliciana and Desire streets with waterline and sewer line construction. Roadway restoration has been completed on Louisa Street and sidewalk work is wrapping up. Desire Street construction on this project has detoured bus traffic until the end of November. Please see the Regional Transit Authority website for further details. This project was designed Hatch Engineering and will be constructed by Boh Bros. Construction Co., LLC.

ST. CLAUDE GROUP C CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES TO MAKE PROGRESS

The $7.3M St. Claude Group C project broke ground in March 2020 and continues to make significant progress. This full-depth reconstruction project was designed by Rahman & Associates, Inc. and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction, LLC. Current focus of work remains on Port Street with roadway, sidewalk and curb restoration. Roadway restoration is moving to St Ferdinand Street.  This project has sucessfully completed six blocks on Montegut St. Overall completion is expected in winter 2021.

ST. ROCH SOUTH GROUP B CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON SCHEDULE

ST. ROCH SOUTH GROUP B CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON SCHEDULE

The $3.4M St. Roch South Group B project, which broke ground in September 2020, continues the full-depth reconstruction project that was designed by HNTB Corporation and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction, LLC. The current focus on project is on North Dourgenois Street sewer and water line replacements. This area will continue to be under construction for the next few months. Roadway restoration began  on Industry Street will continue for the next several weeks. The project is expected to be completed in winter 2022.

DRAINAGE WORK MOVES FORWARD ON THE LAKE TERRACE AND OAKS GROUP D PROJECT

Boh Bros Construction Co., LLC crews are currently pushing an aggressive schedule to complete drainage work on the Lake Terrace and Oaks Group D project. Unrelated COX and Entergy utility relocation work stalled work on Oriole Street during the summer.  Since the utility companies have completed their work, crews are now working to install 30-inch drain lines on Oriole. Work includes. The contractor is working closely with residents to address drains on private property that could compromise the installation of the new drains.
