The $15.3M Hollygrove, Leonidas Group A project began construction in April 2020. Contractor Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. is replacing and repairing sewer lines along the project and will move into deeper sewer repairs as water levels subside. Some sewer line work has been halted on this project due to high river levels and heavy rainfall, which limited the ability to certify sewer repairs. Work is resuming in those areas as the river levels decrease. Crews have continued to work on roadway removal sitewide and asphalt repaving along Hollygrove Street.
A temporary road closure on the 2000 block of Dublin was put in place in late August for asphalt paving that was completed in late September. This closure impacted residents in the neighborhood, as well as families of students attending Stuart Hall School for Boys. Sidewalk work will continue along the 2000 block of Dublin ahead of future closures for the 1900 block of Dublin later this fall. Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. and Waggoner Engineering are working closely to resolve issues with historic brick sidewalk integration into ADA-compliant sidewalk infrastructure.
