Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are 25 percent complete with the Fleur de Lis Dr. Phase III Reconstruction Project between 30th St. and Old Hammond Hwy. in the West End neighborhood.

Water and sewer line installation is complete in the northbound travel lane and three construction crews are currently installing the drainage line. A fourth and fifth construction crew will be assigned to begin framing the roadway for paving work, starting at the Old Hammond Highway side of the project, later this month.

Construction work is progressing well, though inclement weather has added days to the $12M project’s schedule. 

  The scope of work includes:

• Removing and replacing the underground water, sewer and drainage lines;
• Repaving the roadway; and
• Installing new sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
