City of New Orleans contractor Hard Rock Construction, LLC, in collaboration with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, completed drainline point repairs throughout the Lakeview South Group A project in September. Hard Rock crews have also completed the milling process in preparation for concrete and asphalt work on Louis XIV, Louisville, and Catina streets. Weather permitting, crews will finish asphalt in these areas by the November 1.
The $5.9M Patch, Mill, Overlay and Incidental Road Repair project is designed to remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new, smooth pavement. The project was designed by Richard C. Lambert Consultants, LLC and was awarded to Hard Rock Construction, LLC.
The scope of work varies by block but will include the following:
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing them with new, smooth concrete pavement; and
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing them with new, smooth pavement.
The project is currently 19 percent complete. Details of the construction sequencing and timeline were first made available at the pre-construction public meeting. View a copy of the public meeting presentation and details about construction sequencing here.
