In October, six crews from Wallace C. Drennan Construction facilitated sewer repairs in the Hollygrove, Leonidas Group A project area. Additional work crews focused on road excavation and putting in the binder course, which is one of the final steps in road restoration.

Fleming Constuction, LLC, crews continue operations on North Alexander Street on the City Park Group A  project. Crews have been working in relatively enjoyable fall weather in order to excavate exisiting sidewalk, driveway aprons, ADA ramps, and curbs. Work is expected to be complete in October, ahead of starting the same work on North Hennessey Street.

Command Construction finished the full drainage portion of the Hagan-Lafitte Drainage Upgrades and Green Infrastructure Project. This revolutionary project includes the 1.2 million-gallon water storage tank and strategically-placed flap gates that will release the stormwater into the St. Louis canal.

Crews wrapped up work on the Basin St. (N. Villere-Claiborne) Drainage Improvements project this month. The $1.5M city-funded improvement project included installation of permeable parking lanes with pervious pavement, underground stormwater storage and perforrated pipe. The work also included upgrading the drain main.

In late September crews from Hard Rock Construction Co. LLC began installing new sidewalks in the 400-1000 blocks of Barracks Street as part of the $2M city-funded 2020 French Quarter Sidewalk Improvement Plan. Work started in the 400 block of Barracks and is progressing northward toward North Rampart Street.  The project is expected to be complete in late 2020, weather permitting.
