The $11.9M Black Pearl/East Carrollton Group A project, which began construction in August 2020, continues to progress on schedule. Hard Rock Construction, LLC, the project contractor, has made significant progress on planned sewer repairs on Adams, Birch, Burdette, Fern, Hickory, Huso, Jeanette, Pearl, Plum, Short, and Zimple streets. That work will continue in the coming month prior to the beginning of excavation and concrete work.

Boh Bros crews are currently fully reconstructing Arabella and parts of Joseph Street as part of the Audubon Group A  project. Water line installations continue on Arabella, Pitts and Joseph streets. In addition to water line work, crews continue to form and pour ADA-compliant intersections. They recently completed concrete pours on Octavia and Arabella streets.

TKTMJ crews paused work on the Breakwater Drive improvement project in August. Work is scheduled to resume in October once there are final approvals on the project’s new scope.  The expanded scope will extend the completion date to early 2021.

Beverly Construction, LLC, crews will shift work back to 14^th, 20^th and 30^th streets for the remainder of the year on the West End Group A  project. After devoting much of the summer months to water line and paving efforts on Roy and Regents streets, work will shift while the contractor awaits design updates to these blocks. Crews will begin water line and paving efforts on 14^th, 20^th and 30^th streets in late October.

The Navarre Group A project reached the 60 percent completion rate in October. Crews began excavating the roadway and installing new roadway base on Middle Park Place and Navarre, as well as installing the asphalt binder course and wearing level roadway in the 5700 blocks of Rosemary Place, the 5500 block of West End, and on Coscino and West Park Place. Curbs and gutters were installed on Charles Place and Middle Park Place, and water line tie-ins were completed along the Rosemary Place/Milne Road alleyway.
