Command Construction Industries, LLC crews have currently completed 34 percent of the Read Boulevard West Group A project. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.
Construction crews identified a number of drainage line failures during excavation activities; the project team is working to identify mechanisms to for rep airs. Several of these drainage repairs are already under way, with more planned in the next month. Drainage improvements were not in the project’s original scope of work.
Crews have altered their original planned schedule of five days, 8 hours a days, to four days, 11 hours a day. . Concrete pours are scheduled as frequently as once a week. View the project map noting locations of planned work in the area here.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing them with new, smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing them with new, smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
