The City is currently routing a contract for the first of nine planned construction projects designed to improve infrastructure in the Filmore neighborhood. The Filmore North Group A construction contract was delayed due to a contract protest, which is now was resolved and therefore currently routing. Construction is anticipated to begin this fall. A schedule will be released once it has been confirmed.

The estimated budget including engineering, design, geotechnical testing and construction planned for the Filmore neighborhood is approximately $67M. This budget is likely to change pending project bids and construction costs.

Designed by Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation (PEC), the first project will include a variety of work that varies by block and includes some waterline replacements in addition to:

• Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
• Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing them with new, smooth concrete pavement;
• Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing them with new, smooth pavement; and
• Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
