Construction continues on New Orleans East bridges. Construction contractor, Durr Heavy Construction, LL C, recently completed work on the Morrison Canal Bridge at Morrison and Mayo roads.  Crews are now working on the Citrus Canal Bridge at Lake Forrest.

The $753,000 city-funded project also includes refurbishing the Benson Canal Bridge at Lake Forrest.

The scope of work for this project may include: repairing damaged bridge pilings; replacing decking, beams, and other structural components; and installing permanent pavement striping and signage.

The project is slated for completion in November 2019, weather permitting.
