CREWS ARE FINISHING WATER LINES AND DRAIN LINES IN PINES VILLAGE GROUP B PROJECT

Pavement restoration for the Pines Village Group B project is at 90 percent complete, water line work is at 95 percent, and the original drainage work and repairs are 100 percent complete. Additional drainage work that was added on Francis Drive will be completed after all water line work is finished. The project covers the 6200-6400 blocks of Ransom Street; 6300 block of Prentiss Avenue; 6100 block of South Hermes Street; and the 6100 block of Selma Street. Scope of work for the project includes replacing damaged underground drainage lines, repaving the roadway, replacing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons, and installing ADA compliant curb ramps at intersections. Construction began in March 2020.

PINES VILLAGE GROUP A CONTINUES WITH PAVEMENT RESTORATION AND SIDEWALK INSTALLATION

In September, pavement restoration began in the 6000-6300 block of Dorothea, 6500-7100 blocks of East Hermes, and the 5800 block of Dwyer. Sidewalks and driveways were installed in the 4500-4900 blocks of Virgilian, and crews continued making sewer line repairs on East Laverne and Morrison.

The $6.8M Village De L’est Group C project is scheduled to begin in October 2020. The project was designed by Hartman Engineering, Inc. and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction.

Hard Hard Rock Construction crews continued working weekends when weather permitted in an effort to reconcile days lost to inclement weather on the Mid-City Group A project.

WATER LINE WORK UNDERWAY ON THE AUDUBON GROUP A PROJECT

Boh Bros crews, in close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, have begun water line operations on the Audubon Group A  project. Water line installations have been completed on Arabella, Pitts and Joseph streets. In addition to water line work, crews continue to form and pour ADA-compliant intersections. They recently completed concrete pours on Octavia and Arabella streets.
