Beverly Construction, LLC crews began operations on the Little Woods Group B and Little Woods Group C Full-Depth Reconstruction projects in May. Crews are currently performing underground utility work on Avalon Way at Heritage Drive and Tilbury Road and Forum Boulevard. Utility operations include sewer line, waterline, and drainage line replacements. Underground utility replacement operations will last several months.  

Palmisano Construction crews continued paving operations on the Read Boulevard West Group C project in this month.  In addition to paving, crews will also focus on waterline work through the end of spring.  The project is on course for completion in fall 2021. 

Through close collaboration with the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Louisiana Department of­­­ Transportation (LADOTD), Command Construction Industries crews began planning for work along Downman Road as part of the $6.4M Viavant-Lake Catherine Group C project. 

Durr Heavy Construction resumed work on the Village De L’est Group C project after another brief pause due to work being performed by Entergy Gas. Crews are working on North Nemours Street and will remain in that area until early June. Work on this street includes roadway excavation, water, sewer and drainage line installations, as well as sidewalk restoration.

Command Construction Industries crews began paving operations on Tennessee Street as a part of the Lower Ninth Ward South Group A infrastructure improvement project. Crews are continuing waterline work in this area through the end of spring. Paving operations are expected to continue as waterlines are tied in.
