MARLYVILLE-FONTAINEBLEAU GROUP C PROJECT WORKS TO PREVENT STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ISSUES RELATED TO CONSTRUCTION

Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews have completed all SSERP work on this project.  All underground utility operations on Versailles Boulevard have been completed and roadway construction is currently in progress. Currently, crews are performing various construction activities including roadway reconstruction on Neron Place and paving on Sycamore Street, Short Street, and Walmsley Avenue. Additionally, crews are performing drainage line improvements work on State Street Drive from Fontainebleau Drive to Walmsley Avenue.  Work on State Street Drive will continue in segments through April 2022, weather permitting.

Hard Rock Construction, LLC. crews are currently installing the new roadway on the 5300 and 5500 blocks of South Rocheblave. Residents will experience new, safer and smoother roads and sidewalks.

Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews are making strides in the prevention of stormwater management-related issues by protecting and conducting routine cleaning of catch basins located within construction site activity. The project team is monitoring the management of the stormwater drains and quickly addressing issues that arise.

Traffic Advisory: Temporary Closure Extended Through Mid-June on Broadway Street Between Earhart Blvd. and Colapissa St.

Due to weather and construction-related delays, the 3100 block of Broadway Street between Earhart Boulevard and Colapissa Street will remain closed through mid-June 2021. City of New Orleans Department of Public Works' contractor, Wallace C. Drennan Construction Company will continue sewer-line replacement operations as part of the Marlyville-Fontainebleau Group C infrastructure improvement project. MARLYVILLE-FONTAINEBLEAU GROUP C PROJECT CONTINUES WITH SEWER LINE SYSTEM REPLACEMENTS

Wallace C. Drennan, Inc. crews are continuing sewer line replacement work on Versailles Boulevard and Sycamore Street as part of the Marlyville-Fontainebleu Group C project. The new and improved sewer line systems are replacing 70+ year-old pipes. Crews will return to blocks that have temporary street aggregate installed to perform roadway restoration in the second or third quarter of 2021.
