The City is currently reviewing a proposal from the construction contractor, Durr Heavy Construction, LLC., that would shorten the duration of this contract by altering the method the bridges are repaired. Once the proposal has been fully vetted and approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation, construction can begin. Construction is still scheduled to begin in the spring of 2019.

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are continuing work on the Read Boulevard West Group A project construction. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.

This $3.9M project is the first of six construction projects planned to improve the infrastructure in the Read Boulevard East neighborhood, which spans from Read Boulevard I-10, I-510 and Chef Menteur Highway.

The $3.3M Michoud Boulevard Reconstruction Project was designed by Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc. and is being built by Cycle Construction Company, LLC. This project is on schedule to be complete by the end of spring 2019.

Command Construction Industries, LLC is completing waterline tie-ins with two crews working on house services. Once tie-ins are completed, asphalt crews will mobilize.
