The city’s procurement office has deemed the two responses for the contract which would rehabilitate several closed bridges in New Orleans East as non-responsive. As a result the project is being re-bid. Considering the contract needs to meet the criteria of State bid laws, and typical timelines for routing construction contracts, at this time the City anticipates rehabilitation work will begin in early 2019.

City of New Orleans contractor Beverly Construction LLC completed crucial paving work on Florida Avenue and on Law Street in October, bringing the Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group A project closer to substantial completion.

The $4.8 million Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A project is substantially complete and has moved into the final inspection phase.  

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently 42 percent complete with the Read Boulevard West Group A project construction. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.

Hard Rock Construction, LLC crews have resumed work in the Read Boulevard East neighborhood and the project is now approximately 49 percent complete. This is the first of six construction projects planned to improve the infrastructure in the Read Boulevard East neighborhood which spans from Read Boulevard I-10, I-510 and Chef Menteur Highway.
