The Octavia Street (Freret-Claiborne) project was set to begin construction between April and June 2021; however, due to the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LA DOTD) permitting process to utilize South Claiborne neutral ground for the staging of materials and equipment and delays from Hurricane Ida, crews kicked off construction on October 25.    

The  $5.1M Octavia Street (Freret-Claiborne) project was set to begin construction in April 2021. However, due to added pre-construction and sewer line video inspections, crews mobilized equipment and materials in May and will begin operations in June. 

The $5.1M Octavia Street (Freret-Claiborne) project is set to begin construction in April 2021. This project was designed by Richard C. Lambert Consultants, LLC and will be constructed by Command Construction Industries, LLC.
