Public safety is our priority as we continue our infrastructure work during this trying time for our city. With hurricane season now under way, we are working with our contractors to ensure that their plans are finalized to secure sites ahead of any tropical weather event.

The $2.8M Lake Vista Group A project is set to break ground in June 2020. This project was designed by All South Consulting Engineers, LLC, and will be constructed by Command Construction Industries, LLC.

Wallace C. Drennan, crews are preparing to begin water and drain line work at the corner of Claiborne Avenue and Reynes Street in early June as part of the Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group B project. While there continues to be a moratorium on waterline tie-ins in, the work of installing waterlines and drainage will continue. This phase of the project is important to establishing positive drainage in the area. Tie-in operations will resume in projects across the city in June.

Command Construction, LLC crews have completed several blocks of roadway construction as part of the Little Woods Group A project, including the majority of Wales Street. Currently crews are working on paving operations on the west end of the project working their way to the east end (Dowman Road to Bullard Avenue).

Beverly Construction crews began work on Hauk Drive as part of the Read Boulevard Group D project in April 2020 and they are now substantially complete with this street. While the roadway work is almost finished, the waterline tie in has not been completed because of the temporary moratorium on waterline tie-ins due to COVID-19.
The City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board are hiring.
