SEVERAL BRIDGES IN NEW ORLEANS EAST ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

A recent inspection of several New Orleans East bridges revealed the structures are not safe for vehicular traffic. In response, the City has closed the bridges to allow a licensed engineer to assess the conditions of each bridge and prepare engineering plans to repair the bridges.

CREWS CURRENTLY 12 PERCENT COMPLETE REPAVING ROADWAYS IN JOE W BROWN MEMORIAL PARK

The City’s construction contractor, Barriere Construction Co., LLC is currently 12 percent complete repaving the roadways within Joe W. Brown Memorial Park. The $1.2M construction project is the second of three projects planned in the park.

Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently 10 percent complete with the Read Boulevard West Group A project. This is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood.

CONSTRUCTION IN READ BOULEVARD EAST NEIGHBORHOOD NOW SEVEN PERCENT COMPLETE

Hard Rock Construction, LLC crews are currently seven percent complete with the FEMA-funded Read Boulevard East Group A project. This is the first of six construction projects planned to improve the infrastructure in the Read Boulevard East neighborhood, which spans from Read Boulevard, I-10, I-510 and Chef Menteur Highway.
