The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, is making efficient progress on the first of three planned FEMA-funded construction projects in the Village de L’est neighborhood.
The first contract’s scope of work was divided into 14 Sections. To date work has been completed or is underway in a total of nine sections. Crews continue to work in Section 6, 7 and 8. Later this month crews are scheduled to begin performing asphalt work. This work is being closely coordinated with the Michoud Boulevard Reconstruction project. The scope of work varies depending on the condition of the roadway surface and underground utilities. View the project map here to see what work is planned on your block.
