The second of thirteen planned FEMA-funded construction projects, which will help improve road conditions in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood, began in January. The $3.4M Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group A project was designed by Neel - Schaffer, Inc. and is being constructed by Beverly Construction LLC.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Fleming Construction Co., LLC, is 15 percent complete on the $4.7M Lower Ninth Ward Northwest Group A project, which began in December 2017.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Roubion Roads and Streets, LLC, is approximately 95 percent complete with replacing damaged concrete panels on Bullard Avenue between Hayne Boulevard and Chef Menteur Highway.

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Barriere Construction, LLC, is nearly complete with repaving Curran Boulevard between Crowder Boulevard and Mayo Boulevard.

Two FEMA-funded construction projects that will improve infrastructure in the New Orleans East are now underway. The Read Boulevard East Group A project is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. Crews are currently performing construction layout and moving traffic control measures into place.
