The safety and health of our contract workers is of the utmost importance as we continue with infrastructure projects across the city. We are encouraging our contractors to implement the below guidelines consistent with CDC recommendations at jobsites throughout the City.

Public safety is our priority as we continue our infrastructure work during this trying time for our city.  With hurricane season still active, we are working with our contractors to ensure that their plans are finalized to secure sites ahead of any tropical weather event.

The  Read Boulevard Group D project moved into 85 percent completion after the installation of water lines in early November. This moves the project into the substantial completion phase. Beverly Construction Co., LLC, plans to complete new water lines, upgraded drainage and roadway paving by the end of the year.

Command Construction, LLC, crews continued repaving open areas during the month of October on the Little Woods Group A project. With a large percentage of the open areas addressed crews are expected to resume water line work by the end of the year.

Fleming Construction crews, in close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board New Orleans, continued installations and tie-ins of water lines on the Lower Ninth Ward Northeast Group B project in October. This month, crews have completed water line work in the 1800 block of Tupelo Street and plan to complete all water line work between North Derbigny and North Galvez streets.  Residents will continue to be notified of work that will impact their access and/or cause disruption to their utilities.
