Command Construction Industries, LLC crews are currently eight percent complete with the Read Boulevard West Group A project. This $4.8 million contract is the first of two projects planned in the neighborhood. The overall planned investment of design and construction in the Read Boulevard West neighborhood is currently $20 million.
Two construction crews are currently working on Cerise Avenue and Donna and Charlene Streets with concrete pours scheduled as frequently as once per week. View the project map noting locations of planned work in area here.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repairing damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replacing it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replacing it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
