Dieudonne Enterprises, LLC construction crews are currently 55 percent complete with the Youth Study Center Streets construction project in the Pilotland neighborhood.
Work on Encampment St. is substantially complete and crews are working on Cadillac St., placing new curbs. Work on Milton St. is also underway, as an additional layer of asphalt is scheduled to be placed near the completion of the project. Curb work on Davey St. has been completed and the roadway is scheduled to be completed in September 2017.
Following installation of the new asphalt pavement, crews will repair damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons and install American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
The $2.4M project improves access to the recently built McDonogh 35 High School and the Youth Study Center. This is the second of three projects that will improve the conditions of infrastructure in the St. Bernard neighborhood.
The project is on schedule to be completed in the Fall of 2017.
