The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC is 90 percent finished with the replacement of damaged concrete panels and installation of new curbs on Pittari Street from Tullis to Patterson drives.
Crews completed installation of the new concrete roadway in July and are currently placing new curbs. Concrete operations are scheduled to be completed in August.
The scope of work includes:
- Removing and replacing damaged concrete panels;
- Installing new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at appropriate intersections;
- Making minimal sidewalk, driveway apron and foot lap adjustments; and
- Completing catch basin and drainage repairs.
Throughout the duration of construction, parking may be limited within the construction zone. Please plan to park at other locations and expect traffic delays/additional time to reach your destination.
In general, construction crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday work may occur when inclement weather impacts the regular schedule. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near active construction sites.
