Work continues in the $7.3M Village De L’Est Group B project in New Orleans East. In August crews poured roadway pavement on Strasbourg Place and Bergerac Street, and house connection cuts and pavement work were finished on Dwyer Boulevard. Sidewalk and driveway work continued throughout the project and additional waterline tie-ins have been scheduled.

The scope of work varies by block but includes:

• Repaving the asphalt and concrete roadway from curb-to-curb in some areas;
• Patching the roadway with asphalt in some areas;
• Repairing some damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
• Installing American with Disability Act- compliant curb ramp at intersections; and
• Replacing/repairing damaged underground water lines.
