The $7.3M St. Claude Group C project broke ground in March 2020 and continues to progress on schedule. This full-depth reconstruction project — which was designed by Rahman & Associates Inc. and is being constructed by Durr Heavy Construction LLC — continues its main focus on the reconstruction of Montegut Street before moving on to other roadways in fall 2020.
Click here to view a map of all planned work on the project. The scope of work varies by block and includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill/Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City of New Orleans hosted a virtual community meeting via Webex in April 2020 to discuss anticipated impacts to the community. View a copy of the presentation here.
