Final inspections have been completed on the St. Charles (Louisiana Avenue to Napoleon Avenue) Resurfacing project, a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
The contractor is currently working on a short list of recommended changes, while removing debris and equipment from the area. Crews will be demobilized before Mardi Gras.
This $1.3M project, designed by Linfield, Hunter, and Junius, LLC includes the following scope of work:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks adjacent to ADA ramps;
- Patching in preparation for the next phase of construction; and
- Replacing street tiles.
