Last month, Palmisano construction crews completed installing drainage lines in the northbound lanes of Canal Boulevard and have begun preparations for installation of the new water lines.
The $4.5M full depth reconstruction project includes replacing the drain, sewer and water lines, rebuilding the street entirely, repairing sidewalks and curbs, installing a dedicated bike lane and installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complaint curb ramps. Construction crews anticipate completing the northbound lanes this spring and moving to the southbound lanes. The north bound lanes will be converted to two-way traffic while construction is underway on the south bound lanes.
Information about this project was made available at a pre-construction public meeting held in June 2019. Access the presentation here.
