The St. Charles (Louisiana Avenue to Napoleon Avenue) Resurfacing project, a joint effort between the City of New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Transportation, is nearing the final inspection stage.
Crews recently completed all striping activity, as well as removal of detour signage and barricades. State and City officials will walk the site throughout the month of January inspecting the contractors’ work before providing final approvals.
This $1.3M project, designed by Linfield, Hunter, and Junius, LLC, includes the following scope of work:
- Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks adjacent to ADA ramps;
- Patching in preparation for the next phase of construction; and
- Replacing street tiles.
