The St. Claude Drainage Improvement Project project, which began in late 2019, is substantially complete. The contractor is finishing up a punch list and clean-up activities in January. The $1.5M infrastructure improvement project was designed by Waggoner Engineering and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program. Infinity Construction is the contractor.
The project area included the 1100 blocks of Montegut and Feliciana streets as well as the 3000 blocks of Urquhart and Marais streets. Scope of work included:
- Replacing damaged water, sewer and drainage lines;
- Rebuilding the street entirely;
- Repairing sidewalks and curbs; and
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
Details of this project were made available at the pre-construction public meeting held in October 2019. View a copy of the public meeting presentation here. For more information about this project and other upcoming work, please visit roadwork.nola.gov or call 504.658.ROAD (7623).
