The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC is currently 60 percent done with replacing damaged concrete panels on Pittari Street from Tullis to Patterson drives.
Crews finished placing new concrete roadway on the east side of the roadway in June and are now installing a stone base on the westside of the roadway. Concrete placement is scheduled for later this week, and general concrete operations should be completed this month, weather permitting.
The scope of work includes:
- Removing and replacing damaged concrete panels;
- Installing new Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at appropriate intersections;
- Making minimal sidewalk, driveway apron and foot lap adjustments; and
- Completing catch basin and drainage repairs.
Throughout the duration of construction, parking may be limited within the construction zone. Please plan to park at other locations and expect traffic delays/additional time to reach your destination.
In general, construction crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Saturday work may occur when inclement weather impacts the regular schedule. Residents are reminded to use caution when driving, bicycling and walking near active construction sites.
