Command Construction crews began sewer line work on Birch, Joliet, Dublin and Zimpel streets this month; pavement restoration in the 8600-8700 blocks of Green, 8900 block of Hickory, 1100 and 1600 blocks of Cambronne, 7000 block of Dante, 8200-8300 blocks of Burthe, 1700 block of Joliet and the 8400 block of Birch as part of the Hollygrove, Leonidas Group A project.
The scope of work for the $15M infrastructure improvement project may include: replacing/repairing damaged underground water, sewer and/or drainage lines; repairing damaged curbs and gutters; patching the roadway with asphalt; replacing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons; and installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps at intersections.
Waggoner Engineering Inc. is the project designer and Command Construction, LLC, is the contractor. The project is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
