Water line tie-ins were completed on Montegut, Feliciana and Urquhart streets this month, with similar work beginning along Marais Street. On Montegut Street, Infinity Construction crews completed installing new sidewalks in the 1100 block.  

The $1.5M St. Claude Drainage Improvements project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program.

The scope of work includes:

• Replacing damaged water, sewer and drainage lines;
• Rebuilding the street entirely;
• Repairing sidewalks and curbs; and
• Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps at intersections.

The project area includes the 1100 blocks of Montegut and Feliciana streets, as well as the 3000 blocks of Urquhart and Marais. All businesses in the area remain open and accessible.
