The Mid-City Group A project was designed by Infinity Engineering and is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. The entire project was originally scheduled to be complete this fall; however, additional scope has been added. All work is now anticipated to be complete in winter 2020 / 2021.
Last month, crews installed the geogrid fabric layer to reinforce the soil before the concrete surface on the south side of Gravier Street (pictured). Additionally, crews formed up and poured concrete on South Dupre Street (pictured). This month, crews will be installing the wearing course (upper layer of the roadway) in the 600 block of South Pierce Street, 600 block of South Scott Street, 3800-3900 block of Ulloa Street, 4500 block of Baudin Street, 400 block of S. Murat Street, 200 block of South Olympia Street, 100-200 blocks of South Solomon Street and the 300 block of North Alexander Street.
Residents are asked to be mindful of ‘No Parking’ signs installed prior to roadwork. Vehicles are eligible for towing if not moved within 24 hours once signs are in place.
