Hard Rock Construction, LLC are wrapping up work in the Read Boulevard East neighborhood. Work on the first of six construction projects planned to improve infrastructure in the Read East neighborhood, which spans from Read Boulevard I-10, I-510 and Chef Menteur Highway is nearly complete.

Work now consists of one crew concentrating on sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps. Residents are asked to please be patient as we work to improve infrastructure conditions in your neighborhood.
The scope work varies by block but includes the following types of work:
- Patch Mill / Overlay: Repave the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Remove damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Remove damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repair damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
