The $15M Pontilly Neighborhood Storm water Network project includes an array of storm water interventions such as bioswales and street basins, all designed to reduce flood risks. Fleming Construction Company, LLC broke ground on Monday, March 18, 2019.
Fleming Construction began the initial excavation process to create the bioswales along the Mirabeau and Stephen Girard corridors. These stormwater interventions are designed to slow and retain water for a short period of time to lessen the burden on the City’s drainage / pumping system.
A pre-construction community meeting was held in February at Mary D. Coghill elementary school; construction is scheduled to begin March 2019. View the preconstruction public meeting presentation here.
