Work continues in the $7.3M Village De L’Est Group B project in New Orleans East. This month, crews began roadway improvement on Point Coupee Place, Cannes Street, Toulon Street, Lourdes Street, and Savoie Court. In addition, roadway removal and waterline installation started on Corte Place and a pavement repair was completed on Beaucaire Street.

The scope of work varies by block but includes:

• Repaving the asphalt and concrete roadway from curb-to-curb in some areas;
• Patching the roadway with asphalt in some areas;
• Repairing some damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
• Installing American with Disability Act-compliant curb ramp at intersections; and
• Replacing/repairing damaged underground water lines.
