Infinity Construction workers have located and repaired numerous water leaks and begun to excavate the 1100 block of Montegut in preparation for repaving. The existing sidewalks are being removed in the 1100 block of Feliciana and new sidewalks will be poured next month. The $1.5M St. Claude Drainage Improvements project is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Program. Scope of work includes:
- Replacing damaged water, sewer and drainage lines;
- Rebuilding the street entirely;
- Repairing sidewalks and curbs; and
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps at intersections.
The project area includes the 1100 blocks of Montegut and Feliciana streets as well as the 3000 blocks of Urquhart and Marais. All businesses in the area remain open and accessible. Details of this project were made available at the pre-construction public meeting. View a copy of the public meeting presentation here.
