Crews tied in a new water line along Canal Boulevard in November, and repavement work throughout the project is progressing. Crews also began removing roadway and installing a new base on Navarre Avenue and at North Park Place and Middle Park Place, and started curb and gutter installation on Charles Place and Middle Park Place. ADA ramps, sidewalks and driveway aprons are being installed on West Park Place, and crews began installing the asphalt binder layer of roadway on Middle Park Place and South Park Place.
The project, which began in February 2020, includes $7M worth of infrastructure improvements that affect nearly two dozen streets in the area. In addition to repairing and replacing damaged roadways and patching concrete, crews will repair sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs on various streets throughout the project area. Work is scheduled to be complete in summer 2021, weather permitting.
