Command Construction Industries, LLC has finished installing new waterlines across the $4.5M Filmore North Group A project. Crews are now beginning to work on sidewalks and driveway replacements; all catch basins in driveways will be converted to rollovers. In order to remain on schedule, crews are working Monday through Saturday.
The estimated budget including engineering, design, geotechnical testing and construction planned in the entire Filmore neighborhood is approximately $67M. This budget is likely to change pending project bids and construction costs.
Designed by Professional Engineering Consultants Corporation (PEC), the first project varies by block and includes some waterline replacements:
- Patch Mill/Overlay: Repaving the asphalt roadway from curb to curb and repair damaged sidewalks;
- Patch Concrete: Removing damaged portions of the concrete roadway and replace it with new smooth concrete pavement;
- Incidental Road Repairs: Removing damaged portions of the asphalt roadway and replace it with new smooth pavement; and
- Non-Paving Incidentals: Repairing damaged sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs within the public right-of-way.
The City hosted a pre-construction community meeting in January 2019 to discuss anticipated construction impacts. View a copy of the presentation here. To be added to the project contact list, and to track our progress, visit RoadWork.nola.gov.
