Pavement restoration and concrete work dominated the month’s activities in the Navarre Group A project, as curbs and gutters were formed on West Park and Charles streets, and new asphalt was installed on Catina, South Park and West Park streets. A new water line was installed and is set to be tied-in along the 5100-5600 blocks of Canal Blvd.

The project began in February 2020 with installation of new water lines, and the $7M worth of infrastructure improvements will affect nearly two dozen streets in the area. In addition to repairing and replacing damaged roadways and patching concrete, crews will repair sidewalks, driveway aprons and curbs on various streets throughout the project area. Work is scheduled to be complete in summer 2021, weather permitting.
