Construction on the first Mid-City area project, Mid City Group A, began this month. The $6.3M FEMA-funded construction project was designed by Infinity Engineering and is being constructed by Hard Rock Construction, LLC. Work is kicking off in the south west area of the project.

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Boulevard between Paydays and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557M Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.

Crews have completed striping the new roadway, which includes a protected bike lane over the Broad Street overpass and a dedicated bike lane between Broad Street overpass and Tulane Avenue.  Crews have also installed bollards to help improve visibility of cyclists in the bike lane.
