Boh Bros crews continue work throughout the Audubon Group A project, including full-depth work on the 600 block of Webster Street. In close collaboration with Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans crews began the process of chlorinating and testing the new water lines in November. Work has also begun on sewer lines that included closed circuit television (CCTV) monitoring. Crews are expected to wrap this work by mid-December.
Residents will continue to be informed ahead of any work that will involve utility disruption and/or impact their parking and access to their streets.
This $7.3M project was designed by All South Consulting Engineers, LLC. The scope of work varies block by block but includes the following:
- Repave the asphalt roadway from curb-to-curb;
- Patch the roadway with asphalt or concrete;
- Repair damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Install Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replace / repair damaged underground water, sewer, and/or drainage lines.
Information about this project was made available at a pre-construction public meeting on May 21, 2020. The presentation can be found here.
