Fleming Construction crews have completed sewer line point repairs, removal and replacement of exisitng sewer lines, and drainage line improvements on full-depth reconstruction sequences, St. John Court and Allard Boulevard. Crews have now tied in the new waterline to the existing water supply on Allard Boulevard.
There has been progress in roadway reconstruction as crews have installed the binder course on the following blocks: 700 N. Murat (between St. Peter and Orleans), 4400 St. Peter, 4400 St. Ann and 700 N. St. Patrick.
The contractor will continue to maintain temporary traffic maintenance street aggregate on blocks that are awaiting roadway reconstruction and / or resurfacing.
Residents will continue to be informed ahead of any construction work that will involve utility disruption and / or impact their parking and access to their street and driveways.
This $6.1M project was designed by ECM Consultants, Inc., and the scope of work varies block by block but includes the following:
- Resurfacing the roadway with asphalt or concrete;
- Repairing damaged curbs;
- Repairing damaged sidewalks and driveway aprons;
- Installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps at intersections; and
- Replacing / repairing damaged underground water and drainage lines.
Construction began in September 2020 and is scheduled to be completed in late Fall 2021, weather permitting.
