The Department of Public Works’ construction contractors are approximately 97 percent complete implementing the S. Broad Street Improvement Project between Erato Street and Tulane Avenue.

The City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works (DPW), has begun implementing elements recommended in the Downtown Curb Use Study. The curb use study found high numbers of parking violations on many blocks in the Central Business District (CBD). In particular, cars were parked illegally in passenger and freight zones.

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is currently reconstructing Convention Center Boulevard between Poydras and Henderson streets in the Warehouse District. The construction is part of the $557M Convention Center Development District Project that includes converting Convention Center Boulevard into a landscaped public park.
